Absorb all the key elements of drilling "cheaper—deeper” with this course, when supplemented with a good well control course. Learn the principles, work sample problems and apply to your own drilling problems. You learn how to: optimize hydraulics, use continuous testing for best rate of penetration and apply the right hydraulics for the mud system. Find out where and when to use the new bits available and where they waste money. Discover what to do about stubborn shale problems. Every topic is directed to the least expensive, safe, and productive hole, including casing seat selection in abnormal pressures! 

This course is made up of the two one-week courses entitled Effective Drilling Fluid Control and Making Hole.
