This course covers, in an easy to understand manner, the technology that has developed around the use of polymers in the oilfield. The course is intended to give the participants an understanding of the currently available polymers in the oilfield, as to their applicability in a variety of situations. The course covers descriptions of the various polymers, both chemical and their manufacturing process, and where and when they are used in the oilfield. It is primarily designed to help show the best manner to use polymers in the field. Testing, mixing and formulating are covered in detail.
